RISK – Relevant risks not adequately assessed or considered in the lift plans and risk assessments
Hazards and changes may include obstructions, underground/overhead services, changes in ground conditions, simultaneous works, restricted access, plant/people interface and appropriate protection of plant.
A construction site can change quickly. What a work area looked like at the time a lift plan was developed may be completely different to what it looks like when the lift takes place. For this reason, it is important to conduct a site inspection to visually confirm there are no additional hazards, restrictions or structures that may pose a risk to the lift that did not exist at the original time of planning.
