RISK – Falls from height
A competent person in this instance is someone who has conducted the Grid Mesh Awareness training and read, understood and signed the relevant Task Risk Assessment (TRA).
There are two permits for grid mesh and chequer plate – one for installation and one for removal.
Prior to commencing any grid mesh, complete part A of the relevant permit and ensure the permit has been signed by the area supervisor and, if required, the client representative.
Everyone involved in the installation / removal of grid mesh and chequer plate must:
- Be trained in the John Holland Grid Mesh Installation and Removal Procedure (through the Grid Mesh Awareness Training)
- Be trained in working at heights (if required)
- Have understood and approved the content within the task risk assessment
