RISK – Untrained workers performing high risk activities
For those directly supervising and undertaking work using a work positioning system, a fall injury minimisation system, or involved in height rescue, valid accredited training (e.g. RIIWHS204D or equivalent) is required.
Refresher training for accredited training (e.g. RIIWHS204D) is to be conducted every 2 years as a minimum. Workplaces may conduct training at shorter intervals if necessary.
Those performing high risk work must have a valid high risk work licence and be verified as competent in accordance with the Verification of Competency Procedure (linked below).
For those planning work at height activities, the Working at Height Procedural Training (linked below) is the minimum necessary training.
Anyone involved in the installation / removal of grid mesh and checker plate are to:
- Be trained in the John Holland Grid Mesh Installation and Removal Procedure (through the Grid Mesh Awareness Training),
- Be trained in working at heights (if required)
- Have understood and approved the content within the task risk assessment
