6.E Know the Wellbeing Champions at your workplace

RISK – Not knowing who to talk to or where to go for support 

 

 

 

Once a Wellbeing Champion has been appointed, they must be communicated to the workplace through both electronic means and posted up on notice boards.

If there is more than one Wellbeing Champion for the workplace, all Champions must be identified and communicated to the Workplace.

Communication must include contact details for workers to contact the Champions if required.

This information must be kept up to date at all times.

 

 

The Workplace Manager (or delegate) will publish relevant Wellbeing information on the WHS notice boards in a timely manner. Information will include:

  • Wellbeing Program Schedule
  • EAP information
  • Workplace Wellbeing Champion(s) contact details
  • List of workplace Mental Health First Aiders
  • Other Wellbeing information as appropriate

 

 

Site inductions must communicate up to date wellbeing information such as the Wellbeing Program Schedule and Wellbeing Champions.

 

 

It is the Workplace Managers responsibility to ensure the workforce understands the responsibilities and limitations of the Wellbeing Champion.  They are not qualified to provide professional advice.
