RISK – Not foreseeing and adequately planning for environment risks
These risks should be captured using the Workplace Risk Assessment (WRA), Activity Method Statement (AMS), Task Risk Assessment (TRA), Site Environment Plan (SEP), Environmental Control Plan (ECP) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP). Refer to the Environment Planning Procedure.
Identify key environmental risks and ensure these are included in the development of the WRA. The hierarchy of control must be used to ensure the most effective controls are in place. For example, eliminating or managing environmental risks through engineering controls wherever possible.
Key environmental risks are used to guide the development of Project Environmental Control Plans (ECPs) and Site Environment Plans (SEP).
